Sorry about the long departure but I was working on a new site. It’s Islamify.com. What’s that you ask. Well, Islamify is designed so that Muslims can submit links to articles, videos or whatever about what they are interested in while also voting (aka islamifying) stuff that has been submitted by others. Stories that receive the most votes make it to the front page thus giving them more exposure. This way Muslims can be see what’s percolating in the Ummah. If you have a blog or just come across something really interesting and want to share submit it on Islamify.com. Visit the site, register and begin Islamifying your favorite stuff now. Also you may be interested in knowing that due to some constructive criticism I have decided to move all of my educational theory articles to another as yet undisclosed site. TheManOfFewWords.com will become a general blog where people may feast upon my unique (and, yes I heard you, brief) opinions and points of view. After all what kind of person would I be if I deprived the world from my sparkling and unbounded commentary. Stay tuned for all the good stuff coming soon.

well, I was just going to move them to another site that will focus exclusively on education and also it will have a more appropriate name than theManOfFewWords.com.
But I am also debating whether or not to leave these articles here and write new one’s for the new site and write adaptations for the one’s that I’ve left behind to match the more serious tone of the soon to be launched site.
What do you think?

What’s the ‘tag cloud’ on the site?

When someone submits a story they “tag” it with relevant words so that the story can be easily searched and people can succinctly determine what it’s about.
The tag cloud lists all the tags and visually presents those tags that are more frequent by making them larger and/or bolder. Also you can get a list of all the articles that have a certain tag by clicking on that specific tag in the cloud.

It depends on the tone you will set for the educational website.
If it’s going to be a professional/serious website, you may have to rewrite your current ones!

Even if I registered you wouldn’t know about it…because it would be a different id.
Maybe you should send out the weblink to everyone on your mailing list for more advertising…(if you have one, that is). And they can send it to their friends and so on…
So I’m thinking what the overall benefit of this site would be…samething as islamyoutube.com except you have articles instead of videos?

Yeah, I might do a mailing list type of deal. Thanks for the suggestion. But instead of a lot of users I would prefer a smaller but highly active community. That’s my aim. We’ll see how it goes. Inshallah it catches on.
