Most Muslim men probably know that they should grow their beards. Some of them make excuses saying that beards are itchy of some such other nonsense. Others like to say that it’s not an obligation. Most probably know the religious reasons and rewards for growing your beard but here are the top ten non-religious reasons to help these guys make the switch from the smooth feminine look to man-fur.
10. Save money
If you go to a barber and pay for a shave along with your haircut or you like the do-it-yourself razor and foam approach then you will be saving quite a bit when you add up all thees expenses. Eliminating these will do wonders for your wallet.
9. Instant recognition as a male
Yes its true some men look like chicks, especially younger guys and those sporting long hair. Get your beard on and you’ll never have to worry about Burly Bob hitting on you.
8. Scare ignorant white folk
Sometimes your fed up with playing Mr. Nice Muslim and you just want to scare the pants off of a nervous red neck, give him an oogah boogah but beware they probably have the Dept of Homeland Security on speed dial.
7. Something to play with
Ok so this is not exactly a popular one but if you ever wanted to look ponderous or just plain felt lonely, you can always stroke your ever present companion. It’s the friend that will always be there for you.
6. Better skin
Nothing says irritated skin like scraping a razor over your face 7 times a week. This one’s a no-brainer.
5. Beards are in
That’s right, a whole mess of celebrities have begun to sport beards and the trend is going in style. So grow a beard, for fashion!
4. Respect
For some reason people respect beards. When I began growing my beard people started calling me sir. What’s up with that?
3. Age
If you are young and trying to look older, grow a full beard and viola! You look five years older.
2. Sex Appeal
Beards are sexy, yes indeed. Nothing like a full beard to show off all that follicular testosterone but beware, use your newfound powers for good.
1. Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam)
That’s right, Cat Stevens. Even before he converted to Islam and became Yusuf Islam he was rocking the man-fur and was the kind of guy that guys wanted to be and chicks wanted to be with. In this picture you can see him with his pre-Islam beard and a seductive “come hither” pose. A deadly combination to be sure. Any club this dude is in is one you definitely want to be member of. Guys if you want to snare yourself a wife or get your honey’s attention there’s nothing like a beard to release masculine pheromones.
If I missed any please feel free to share more in the comments.

You need to grow a beard yourself. Chin-straps don’t count!

i just want to let you know that the 10 reasonings you gave for keeping beards are not islamic concious and they should be removed.
let me inform you that the folling reasons are better of:
1. it makes one intellectually high, on this point look back into the history of the famous scholars in the world, you will confirme that, beards makes the iQ of a person ok and it is also scientific proved.
2. it is a unique way of life of the righteous and noble people just like past prophet, messngers and noble personalities.
3. it makes man different from other animals as a result of keeping the beards, combing and oiling it.
4. it is one of the fitra( natural instrinct) of man to have, as that is the way ALLAH has created us.
5. it shows the level of ones civilization and the level of the practical appreciation of life.
let me leave you to ponder on these points for now.
please do not belittle islam and its culture
Thanks
Islam is a religion of peace.
God bless.
