Welcome
Posted by themanoffewwords under Introductions
Welcome to my humble blog. I hope to share with you my unique insights on education, society and history. I have had a great passion for these subjects, but for a long time I’ve had no outlet to share them with the world until now. I also hope to ferociously challenge all sorts of illegitimate authorities, some you know and some you don’t. If you don’t come away with the impression that I have nothing but contempt for institutionalized “education” then you probably need to pay more attention while reading.
Furthermore, I will take great pleasure in attacking some comfortable assumptions that are all too common. If you happen to hold any of these assumptions as true then thank the Almighty I decided to embark on this blog-quest and hold on to your medulla oblongata.
Don’t think, however, that it’s going to be all criticism, I have a great deal of interesting insights I have accumulated from learning about traditional education that I intend to share. Of course, these will be punctuated with scathing attacks on the modern educational system and various other oppressive social constructs.
I hope you learn a lot and that the information I post is actually useful to you on some level. And if you do benefit from anything here then please share it with your friends, relatives or complete strangers who happen to be woefully ignorant of my special brand of wisdom.

Alas. I knew this was going to happen.
A pleasant surprise and delight to my eyes, if i do say so myself.
BarakAllahufeek. Looking forward to your insight..
After going through a few of your posts.. I have a question:
Have you come across any schools that show an exemplary K-5 curriculum?
what usually happens is islamic schools is they employ their first batch of students as ‘guinea pigs’ which turns off most potential parents from bringing in their kids.
I’ve come across a few good schools, but was wondering your take.
JazaakaAllahukhairan.

Jazakallahu khair bro,
Yeah I tried resisting the temptation to blog but there was just so much to share and no outlet so I planted a little flag to claim my little corner of the internet.
As for an exemplary k-5 curriculum, I do not read curricula. If you want to get an idea of what I believe is the ideal Islamic School stay tuned. I have a few more articles in the works: “Crisis in Islamic Education,” “Unislamic Schools” and several articles discussing different aspects of Islamic education. I recommend you subscribe via rss or email to stay updated.
Inshallah, you will enjoy what’s coming up.

“I hope to share with you my unique insights on education, society and history.”
Its a bit saddening to see the scarcity of history articles on this blog. Never mind the scarcity, history is not even categorized as a possible digression!
The magical weekend unveiling the education blog has yet to approach!
The claim about “hold(ing) on to your medulla oblongata” is yet to be fulfilled!
“I hope you learn a lot…”
Okay. We hope so too.

Hope you don’t mind the constructive criticism.

I understand and I do regret that I have been unable to produce more academic articles. Here, the lack of time is the main problem. This is the main reason I have delayed the education blog even though I have finished designing and tweaking it.
I have been writing a few fun articles on this blog because they are easy to write.
More academic stuff is much more time consuming and entails a lot of research and organization.
Make dua for me inshallah that ALLAH blesses my time and increases me in knowledge so that I will be of benefit to the people.
